This tour with short and long walks (11 to 23 km) on the Northern side, rive droite, of the Tarn valley offers far sights (up to the Pyrénées with right weather conditions).
Flying Ryanair from London Stansted  this trip starts in Salles Curan at Lake Pareloup at 50km from the airport of Rodez.

From the friendly Valley of the Tarn, where you can do some easy canoeing in the Tarn river at Broquiès you'll be walking from 250m up to 800m altitude and back down to about 250m in the valley. You'll be walking on the Plateau du Levezou past two lakes. 
Country inns with their exquisite food (menus du terroir) will give you the finest Aveyron cuisine. In Ayssènes you can have a very delightful vegetarian dinner if you want. The cook Maryvonne also gives cooking classes on the subject.

The descent back to the Tarn valley will have splendid farsights over the Causses, the Cevennes and the Monts de Lacaune in the South and the Monts de l'Aubrac in the North. On century old footpaths in Tarn Valley you walk through chestnut woods in a territory rich in animal and plant species, where the film Microcosmos has been turned. You can see the insects museum Micropolis if you have a car.

We can arrange a transfer from the airport of Rodez. Costs:  € 85 to Salles Curan (Return included). If you prefer you can book an extra night B&B (€45 p.p.) in Rodez. So you can visit the town with its great cathedral before the transfer to Salles Curan the next day .
